INOYA (Packaging Design)

Originally my product was titled as “Izakaya" which in Japanese it’s spelt as: 居酒屋. Izakaya means eating something (usually bite sized food) at a store with alcohol (usually Beer). My product is Halal so looks like I gotta drop out Zaka: 酒…& replaced the word 酒 with 飲む which means Eat! Therefore Izakaya becomes INOYA!!! 居酒屋 -> 居飲屋 So far at least in the Japanese language this word doesn’t exist. Neither anyone or any brand in Singapore or nearby uses this fad~

But what is all this INOYA about?? It is based on a local company called Tee Yih Jia which produces Halal frozen food. They have a lot of brands under their belt like Spring Home. I was thinking of assorted Halal Japanese range of bite sized foods which was something new in Singapore. There are 2 sets of variations: Steamed (Blue) or Fried (Red) ech with 6 types of food like Gyoza, Nikuman & Tempura.

Part of the Packaging assignment requirement was to consider the after use of the packaging. I decided it can be used for storage like a pencil box because the material is thick enough.
