Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2021 Tribute (Johor Bahru)

Aidilfitri has been hard for many Muslims around the world especially with the global pandemic which even affects developed countries like Malaysia. I live in Singapore, not Malaysia but it sucks to be stuck in this tiny island for more than a year now! Often so during Ramadan, I would go to Malaysia for a day to shop for treats, groceries & many other things for Aidilfitri later on. To see the border shut this long depresses me. A lot of my Singaporean friends think it's ok since their perspective of Malaysia is often negative & boring. (They don't celebrate Aidilfitri what do they know??)
I also want to make the citizens of Malaysia especially Johor happy. Malaysia is going through a tight lockdown, thus many families are stuck at home unable to celebrate Aidilfitri whereas we can move around freely in Singapore. Johor state also has one of the highest cases in Malaysia. As Johor Bahru is the nearest Malaysian city to Singapore, this scenery sketch is something I can contribute as an artist during this tough time. JB isn't the best city but it brings lots of nostalgias & memories to Singaporeans.
I wish everyone a healthy blessed Aidilfitri to Muslims all around the world!!!
