Johnson & Johnson (Clean & Clear Cleanser) Packaging Concept Design

Honestly, many do not use this cleanser unless they are on a tight budget or just started using it as their first cleanser. Many friends around my age use other brands but not Johnson’s Clean & Clear. If the company wants to target the youth, it needs some elements that tickles the fancy of the teenage population~

The fonts I’ve improvise it with something casual & playful. I rearrange the fonts to cater to the biggest feature of this packaging: that is the Illustration~
Why do this? I noticed many facial brands are either too minimal or serious in their packaging. Even the ones that do have illustration just focus on nature (like the plants used in the ingredients for the cleanser) or just basic graphic elements. I suggest having character illustrations which anyone can do!

Meaning? Johnson & Johnson should organise a competition to get their users (be it any age of any country) to illustrate characters to their packaging. The theme can be anything from festivities, holidays, fashion trends, culture but with one goal in mind: Good Skin. Therefore, the illustration must show the character’s face looking good! Perhaps, the winning entry can win a year’s supply of Clean & Clear products? Why not? Its fun isn’t it??

There’s emotional connection which creates a memory to the user. Thus, the brand & product can gain more customers while retaining their supportive pool. Clean & Clear’s product line is huge, think of the potential of this idea across the range? In the future if Johnson & Johnson does come out with new Clean & Clear products, it’ll reach out to more prospects quicker! Creativity, is a culture that Johnson & Johnson had and will strive for from the company’s history till the future.

Hence, this is what the brand needs to do if Clean & Clear is targeting the youth population. Make it fun, vibrant, get everyone involved!
