Packaging Design Modification - Dau Saa Beng

Did a packaging design case study involving senior citizens therefore I picked this product: a Chinese green bean pastry snack commonly found in supermarkets in Singapore which is popular among the elderlies~
The problem of the original packaging design:
-Those unfamiliar to Chinese snacks are not sure what this is about as there's no short description.
-Colour scheme is too plain, too boring.
-Typography is horrible...
To make the product more appealing:
-Giving it green to reflect the flavour of green bean, red to reflect good luck & prosperity in Chinese culture
-Enhanced the typography with Gill Sans MT & a neater hierarchical layout for easier reading.
Simple adjustments like this make a difference, injects life to a product that is so underrated, yet traditional & cultural to modern Singapore.
